Synthetic Paper Toss
* Each team designates one (1) competitor for this event
* The designated competitor is giving three (3) throws
* The competitor can take up to three (3) steps prior to release,
but may not touch or cross the throw line.
* A full, factory-wrapped roll of synthetic underlayment must be used for each throw.
* All three (3) throws are measured, and the average distance of the three (3) throws determines the final score.
* The roll must land cleanly, inbounds, with no intentional rolling or assistance after the first ground contact.
* Highest average from the 3 throws will determine winning team.
Equipment Rules
* Roll must be factory wrapped with original sticker still in place. If a wrapper/sticker rips that roll is no longer used.
* No modifications to the roll. No cutting of rolls, no taping of rolls.
Judging
* Distance is measured from the throw line to the first ground contact.
* Throws landing outside the marked boundaries will be recorded a zero (0) for that throw.
* Judges measurements and rulings are final.
Coil Hole
* Each team designates two (2) competitors for this event.
* The designated competitors are giving 4 throws each.
* One (1) team mate at each end.
*One (1) will throw coils down while other retreats the coils after all throws are complete from both sides.
* Removing a coil before all the throws are completed will result in a score of 0 for the coil(s) moved.
* Throws are made from behind the marked line.
* A standard roofing nail coil is used for all throws.
Scoring
* Coil fully through the hole: 3 points
* Coil contacting hole but not in hole: 2 points
* Coil on board: 1 point
* Coils landing on ground or rolling off platform: 0 points
* The combined total points from both designated competitors determine the team's score for this event
Rules & Equipment
* Coils must be factory standard (no modifications, taping, or weighting).
Judging
* A throw is scored when the coil comes to its final resting point.
* Judges' rulings are final
Ladder Balance
Objective
* Balance and climb a free-standing extension ladder as high and as fast as possible without assistance.
Competitors
* Each team will designate one (1) competitor for this event.
* Each competitor receives three (3) attempts.
* The best attempt counts towards team score.
Rules
*Competitor lifts the ladder from the ground and balances it vertically.
* Once vertical, competitor may climb rung by rung.
* Ladder must remain free-standing at all times.
* No part of ladder may touch the ground, walls, trees, people, or any structures other than its base.
* Hand and feet only - no bracing with body, knees, or external contact.
* If the ladder tips, falls, or the competitor steps off, the attempt end immediately.
Scoring
* Scoring is determined by the highest rung reached.
* If two (2) competitors reach the same rung height, the fastest time wins.
* Both feet must touch rung to count as a rung.
* Time stops when
Safety
* Competitors must wear closed-toe footwear.
* No gloves, harnesses, ropes, straps, or tethers allowed.* Spotters may be present only for safety and may not touch the ladder or competitor.
* Any contact from a spotter result in a 0 for that climb attempt.
Judging
*Judges determine height and time
* Judges measurements and times are final.
Roof Pitch Roof Walk
Objective:
* Demonstrate balance and roof-walking skills by standing and walking on progressively steeper roof pitches. The competitor who reaches the highest pitch and furthest distance wins.
Course set up:
* Multiple 4 ftx8 ft roof sections, each set at increasing pitches: 8/12, 10/12, 12/12 etc.
Each section has:
* Clearly marked starting line
* Clearly marked goal line
* Roof surfaces are uniform and dry.
* No handholds, rails, or supports.
Competitors:
* Each team designates one (1) competitor.
* Each competitor gets one (1) continuous run through the pitches,
* No practice runs during competition.
Rules
* Competitor starts at the lowest pitch (8/12)
* To advance, the competitor must step onto the pitch both feet.
* Stand fully balanced for 3 seconds with judge counting out loud,
* Repeat through roof pitch roof walk on roof 10/12, 12/12, and 14/12
Rules:
* Hands may not touch roof or any structure
* No kneeling, sitting, or crawling
* If competitor slips, steps off, falls, or touches the roof with hands, the run ends immediately.
* No Cougar Paws or any climbing shoes, you can wear regular close toe work shoes
Scoring:
* Highest pitch successfully reached,
* Furthest distance traveled on that pitch
* Fastest time (only if ends in tie)
* Pitch counts when competitor stands for 3 seconds at that pitch
* A fall or step-off records last stable position.
Safety:
* Closed-toe footwear required (no cleats, spikes, or bare feet).
* No gloves, ropes, harnesses, straps, or any aids allowed.
* Spotters may be present for safety only and may not touch the competitor.
* Any physical assistance results in a 0 score for that event,
Judging:
* Judge call balance count, pitch advancement, distance and time
* Judges determine slips vs. dismounts.
* Judges rulings are final.

Roofing Relay Race
* Two (2) teams compete head-to-head on opposite sides of the same roof, racing to complete a full shingle installation as a team.
* Speed, teamwork, and proper installation all matter.
* Each team is assigned one side of the roof, consisting of one sheet of sheathing and one full bundle (20 shingles).
* All 4 team members must participate, installing 5 shingles each in relay format.
* At the start signal, Competitor 1 takes the hammer from holster, runs over to the correct side of his team's roof.
* Installs 5 shingles correctly, then returns to his/her team handing over the hammer to next competitor on their team,
* This continues until competitor 4 puts final shingles on and runs back to team and hangs hammer in designated holster.
* Time stops only when the hammer is fully seated in holster.
* Only 1 competitor at a time.
* Hammer acts as baton- no hammer, no work.
* Shingles must be properly aligned and nailed properly.
* No assisting another competitor or disqualified.
* Judges ruling is final.
